Operation Compassion
is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization.
Mission Statement
Operation Compassion focuses on three priorities: primarily, responding to natural disasters nationally and around the world; establishing local networks of churches, agencies and government leaders meeting the needs of the victims; secondly, providing inspiration, information, training and resources to help mobilize churches, individuals, and community groups to provide food and basic necessities to the poor and needy; thirdly, concentrating on international distribution to widows, single mothers and children.
Key Programs
- Disaster Relief
Responding to natural disasters around the world with containers of bottled water, food, cleaning supplies and building material; establishing an in-country local network of churches, agencies and government leaders to meet the needs of children and families.
- Compassion America: Urban Benevolence Programs
Meeting various needs of the poor and underprivileged living within America's largest cities by utilizing partnerships with civic and community leaders, school districts, police departments, fire departments, parks and recreation departments, churches and agencies.
- Dream America: Rural Poverty Programs
Targeting the four most extreme areas of poverty in the U.S. through food distribution, hot meals, job training and home repair; focusing on senior adults, children and single parents and widows.
- Community Love Connection
A one-day community impact event providing volunteers and a variety of products to affect change through the love, care and concern on one community for another.
- Compassion World
Providing Third World Countries with medical supplies, medical equipment, textbooks, clothing, food and toys.
